In 2024, we were able to receive a grant to hire our first Executive Director, Ivy Clark. Since then, the Newburgh Museum has been a growing part of the community and continuing to promote and ensure the preservation of our local history.
Bringing the Museum to the Streets
In 2025, we received a Historic Preservation Education Grant awarded by Indiana Humanities and Indiana Landmarks to develop a walking tour where participants find signs throughout downtown and use mobile phones to view historic photos from the museum's collection taken from the same vantage points. Since then, the Newburgh Museum has unveiled the initial map and will be installing all 15 location signs this year.

Come join us as the Newburgh Museum hosts our 2026 Speaking Series the first Sunday of each month (excluding holidays) starting in April from 1-3 pm. Enjoy the latest exhibit and hear a different guest speaker each month sharing pieces of Newburgh and the surrounding area’s history!
